Four-Year Grants for PhD Programmes

The European University Institute in Florence is now accepting applications for PhD scholarships in the fields of Economics, History & Civilization, Law, and Political & Social Sciences. The scholarships, awarded by the DFES(UK) and Min. of Education for Ireland , cover maintenance and tuition for the Institute's four-year doctoral programmes.
British research students, receive a maintenance award of EUR1090 per month, an allowance for dependants (where applicable), health insurance cover and a travel allowance. Irish research students, receive a maintenance award of EUR1260 per month, an allowance for dependants (where applicable), health insurance cover and a travel allowance
The EUI in Florence is one of Europe's leading academic institutions in offering Ph.D training in the social sciences and humanities. The Institute is unique in its European, comparative and interdisciplinary focus, and offers up to four years scholarship to research students, leading to a doctorate.
Minimum admission requirements for Social and Political Sciences: MA Degree in a relevant discipline and working knowledge of 2 EU languages, including English.
