Stockholm Gastronomy Conference

Gastronomy Research and Policy Studies - The State of The Art
November 23-26, 2023

We are happy to announce that the conference track structure for Stockholm Gastronomy Conference is now set. We are quite impressed by the number of track proposals we have received (34) as well as the quality of the submissions finally accepted as tracks (24) - and would like to express our great appreciation for the work put into formulation and submitting track proposals.

Many contributions highlight the new role of gastronomy as a positive, motivating and "enjoyable" force to solve many of the challenges we face today in terms of health, quality of life, social development and of course - climate!

All track proposals have been reviewed by the Honorary Advisory Board, and the accepted contributions have been grouped in four main conference themes.

A. Taste, pleasure and delight as levers for sustainable food consumption
B. Gastronomy according to terroir, place, space and culture
C. Gastronomy – a powerful force of transformation
D. Gastronomy – norms, skills, competencies and education

Please visit the conference website to read more about the accepted tracks and to get further instructions on how to submit an abstract for a specific track. Please also spread the word about the conference by forwarding this call for abstracts to your academic and professional colleagues and networks within the gastronomic community. We are looking forward to seeing you in Stockholm – the European Capital of Gastronomy 2023!

Sincerely,

Per Olof Berg, prof. em.
Conference chair
